Some coolant will then be pumped from the water pump to the heater core then back to the water pump. Coolant is drawn from the radiator outlet and into the water pump inlet by the water pump. As the pump pressure increases the weight of the water being lifted is reduced and the power required decreases.
With centrifugal impellers restricting the flow rate with a valve reduces the power required proportionally. Coolant is also pumped through the water pump outlet and into the engine block. If not the structure won t work as it should be. The ls3 should be the same.
Some coolant will then be pumped from the water pump to the heater core then back to the water pump. With these type pumps the excess backpressure created by choking a pump with a valve is a free by product of horsepower. Each part should be placed and connected with other parts in particular way.
